World Concept

Here are some of the ideas that I have for the world concept. Still somewhat preliminary but its progressing. This one is a concept I used as a basis for my terrain. I'm developing some concept drawings of the terrain.
This is a rough concept design that I did for the industrial portion of my terrain. My first pass was very red-toned
I did another version that was a little too far in the opposite direction.
I finally settled on this concept, that was a little more balanced in terms of color. I'm going to be expanding my designs to include more detail. This is just an overview of color and style.

This is my primary layout for the level. I'm planning on developing my terrain using the Unreal engine heightmap generator, but I will be making another version of it in 3DS Max to try it both ways.

World Concept

This is my world concept that I created in Terragen the original, free trial version. So it has a low LOD. The second image is a topographic map, quickly done in Photoshop. The world is going to be this rocky canyon area. I'm going to put a few structures in the sides of the cliffs and have vegitation on the top.

Here are examples of the Topographical Map, Documentation, World Style Guide, World Concept Art, Height Map and Terrain.
World Style Guide is a collage or presentation of your photo reference for Terrain, Eco and Architecture.
World Concept Art is an illustration of your Terrain, Eco and Architecture
which you can do along with your photo reference. Extra time was given for the Concept Art because it usually takes longer to illustrate something rather than create a collage.

Lots of amazing World ideas were submitted! Scrum on Monday will be exciting!
