Like everyone else is probably going to say, your buildings and architecture are very, very nice. They look very professional and well done.

The only things I would suggest are changing the texture on the tree (just because a gray tree seems a little off). I was going to say that the ground texture could use some work, but you explained that the texture itself looks fine and you couldn't get it to work in the program, so that's fine.

This looks good. I like the tree the most soo many branches, just make the terrain texture more high res maybe and add some shadows and you have it.

You did a really good job texturing the pillars and tree.

Look into what I mentioned about UV tiling for your ground texture. You mentioned there was still black around the edge from when you were going to use alpha but sometimes you may have to remake textures to make them look better.

Also try softening your normals to get a more rounded effect with your pillars, unless you were going for the chiseled effect; then you nailed it.

I like your textures I can tell you worked hard creating and mapping them. I did notice that the pillar lacked smoothing so you could see the faces, not sure if that was intended or not. other than that I think the only thing I would say is that it lacks contrast and you might consider upping the contrast or maybe the vibrancy of the textures.
